Advice Needed Someone spying on our wireless lan??

Cant the WIFI dongle for your sat receiver be connected to a laptop or other computer with a USB port and have the WIFI password changed that way?? Or is the WIFI dongle your using a stupid one?? With no onboard flash to change and store the memory's.

And as to the range of the router, mine has a range of about one mile,(external amps and antennas) but with a very strong password it's been safe, however at my location I can see the road leading up to the property, the Dogs will tell me that someone is close by and I can then use the 44 magnum as a security option.

It's not a priority right now - when I get around to it, I'll just delete the Wifi connection and then re-establish it.

Unfortunately, we all live much closer together here - and the BFG is not an option:lol:
 
Update!

Following on from what I posted a couple of weeks ago about the fact that we seem to have a network hacker at work around here - as I said then, I had noticed an apparent intruder with an unknown device name when I was looking at File Explorer a couple of weeks ago . I obviously rapidly changed the wireless p/w, hid the SSIDs (there are separate ones for the router and the wireless Access Point) and so on!

However, I noticed another suspicious thing today - there was a very, very strong signal (higher signal level even than that from the wireless router a few feet behind the PC on which I was monitoring the local wifi signals) using Acrylic Wifi Home (a pretty decent free monitoring App)!!!!!!!!! Later on in the day, that the strength of that signal had dropped to a very low level - so, whoever "he" is, "he" is mobile" (and using a Draytek wireless router - so not cheap!)

Going to get to the bottom of this, "bunnypuppy126" (his SSID!) whoever you are, if you are "listening".
 
I think the best thing to do is switch off completely your wi-fi.

As I said previously, that's not really a practical option - due either to the locations of some of the devices not being near RJ45 outlets, or because they are wireless-only android devices.
