Tbs tuner and crazyscan - probably not a pc card issue

From the screencap I say yes, the first one had a 9.0db signal (1db increment) the second one a 10.8db (I don't know how the SNR steps go by now). A full scan would clarify this I guess...

Here's what it looks like with 6903x and 6902se:

This version's first effect is correctly displaying the FEC for Montage M88RS6060 cards.
Here is what the previous version displayed compared to 1.2.4.146 for the S2X muxes. It was tested with 6902se.
Meanwhile, version 1.2.4.148 has been released.
So correct FEC 25/36 ? You can check this feed with stid135 or silabs based cards ?

I used 6903x(stid135) and 6902se(M88RS6060) cards with StreamReader BDA 1.2.4.146 when I got FEC 25/36 with both cards. Yes, FEC is correct for both of these cards. But before the mentioned version, tbs6902 found FEC 8/15 for the two muxes.
I didn't check with any Silab card.
Checked 6902se before and after I changed StreamReader BDA v.1.2.4.146.

New StreamReaderEx for BDA Tuners v.1.2.4.154 from 25.05.2023

New StreamReaderEx for BDA Tuners v.1.2.4.154 from 25.05.2023
The changes made to the latest StreamReader for the m88rs6060 completely change the spectrum configuration, so it is impossible to identify valid signals from other signals, in fact, noise. The spectrum of the latest StreamReader version, 1.2.4.54, looks worse than ever, and everything is confusing. The errors can be seen well on the spectrum,
A difference between version 1.2.4.148 and 1.2.4.154 can be seen on the spectrum with the 6902se card. I have chosen two examples from 57.0E and 19.2E:
Maybe the log file will help.

In the meantime, I learned that StreamReaderEx v.1.2.4.155 from 29.05.2023 has been released.

1.2.4.154 have experimental FFTScan support for m88rs6060
reverted in 1.2.4.155 (used RFScan in CrazyScan)

I tested with version 1.2.4.155, and everything came back to normal.
Thanks for everything :)

New test build CrazyScan allow select spectrum scan mode when RFScan+FFTScan supported (m88rs6060 devices)
CS-new.PNG

Would you please be able to tell me if there is a list available of any TBS cards that support the FFTScan mode?
I am using a TBS6983 card and FFTScan is unavailable (greyed out)
Cards using the stid135 chip, for instance TBS6903X, TBS6909X, possibly si2183 (TBS 6522)? I think there are one or two others in the TBS family.

@Llew

Thank you, I do have a TBS6903x somewhere, I might give it a spin.

One final question re CrazyScan latest version if anyone can please help?
Is it supposed to support BlindScan mode, I can only get is to work using BlindScan2 mode with my TBS6983 card.

The same card on the same PC will run BlindScan mode in EBSPro without any issues.
EBSPro and CrazyScan on the same PC are currently using different versions of streamreader. CrazyScan is using the latest version, EBSPro is using the default shipped version that came in the installer package.

It should be noted that FFTScan is only for m88rs6060 devices. i.e., tbs6902se/6904se, on other cards do not work.

Yes' greyed out with my 6903X. I should have noted it's just for m88rs6060. :-doh

Would anyone please be able to confirm how to identify which chip device is on a TBS card?

Is it simply a matter of looking at the chips and making a note of the numbers/letters on the card or is there a software way to ID the chip device?
If it is just looking at the card, how is the chip device for an external USB DVB device identified?

Whenever I have checked the TBS website for this type of info it does not seem to be listed?

In most cases, the log from the streamreader lists what chips the card uses (The wiki has not been updated for a long time)

in addition to the mentioned cards, FFTScan should also work on TBS5930 (maybe also TBS5530)

TBS 6903X, 6909X support only FFTScan - so selection disabled and FFTScan always selected.
