Does it "do" HEVC,and streams?
I'd like a double tuner FTA receiver that does HEVC & Streams... would this be the one?
 
Streams as in multistream like the French channels on 5W? I believe the answer is no.
 
yes ,Multistreams and Italians use them too,it seems like that system is becoming commonplace,
and so is HEVC for some French channels and the Chinese bouquet on 21E
 
It supports HEVC but not multistream. Multistream transmissions are not intended for home reception so there's no reason for Technisat to include it for their target market.

however if I want the Chinese bouquet,
how am I supposed to do? it isn' t on any of the commercial offers available...
or is it just for Chinese embassies in Europe?
 
Only the following channels are available without subscription;
CCTV 3 HD
CCTV 5 HD
CHC HD
CCTV 8 HD
CHC Action HD
Phoenix InfoNews Channel HD

I guess a Octagon sf8008 will do the job. It supports HEVC (and multistream for other channels).

Could be, I haven't seen a CAM available anywhere. If it's any consolation, when the mux was FTA for a short period, the sound quality was poor across all the channels.
