Not trying to soundproof. Just a lazy and cheaper way of not prepping my wall and wallpaper it. And it might have the added bonus of nulling off any unwanted sound reflections. Though it might make things sound a bit flat and boring.
 
Acoustic tiling is sound absorption though.

A good bit of the Barcelona 1992 Olympics was filmed in HD-MAC, though sadly the MAC family development was abandoned not long after with focus shifting to DVB.

Other analogue HD systems would include NHK Japan's MUSE system. The old French 819 line system might also pass, it think it had 737 active lines.
