Hello,

I'm looking to purchase this receiver however my question is does the unit have some sort of web control and if what control do you get?

I'm looking to move the a dish remotely using the STB, therefore won't be able to use a remote.

If someone has a guide or can give me some screenshots or similar that would be awesome.

Or if someone close to the Bracknell area has one which I can take a look at before purchasing that would be even better.

Don't understand all of your question.

All enigma2 receivers have web access either from a PC or a tablet. With a PC it is simple. Enable the webif in the menus, then enter your local IP/port in your browser.

With a tablet/phone you have can download the VU+ Player app. Although it says for VU+ boxes it will work with any e2 receiver.
 
Which part are you un sure about?

What can be controlled from the web ui of an enigma 2 receiver ? apart from channel change ?

Quite a few things can be controlled via the Webif. Some French guy also wrote a program called Enigma TV or something like that, that you could control your box from anywhere in the World via the net. I had some succes with it too, watching recordings from my AZbox some years back.

I understand there is a security issue with Openwebif, has this been sorted out and if so what has happened to resolve please?
