TNTSat cards working in a Dreambox Status

TF1 HD and France 2 HD now both down too. :(

Looks like we're in the same position as a couple of years ago again when only the SD worked using the card in a non-official receiver.

It won't be long before the AESKey is found. I really cannot see what TNTSat are trying to do here, when you can get a card from them for €15, it hardly seems worth it, its not as if they are losing millions lol

Well, they could keep the new AES key a secret, like people are doing for Fransat.

Its not a case of them keeping it secret. The Kyng team know what the AESKey is for Fransat and TNTSat, they just don't want to share it.

Fransat is not a particularly well used package and to be honest 5w isn't a satellite thats really used by that many operators so its not cost effective to find the AESKey.

TNTSat is on a well used satellite, so finding the AESKey is worth doing. Thats my take on it anyway

Still no news. :( Also apparently W9 only works some of the time as it changes between using one of the known old keys and the new unknown one.

Just keep hold of the card. It will only be a matter of time before the AES keys are known again.

If you cant wait that long you will have to buy a Cristor Atlas HD 100 to decode it.

Yes it's just a case of playing the waiting game again like a couple of years back isn't it? A little frustrating though! For what are essentially free channels I don't understand the massive security...

I've given up on this for now! Doesn't seem to be any news and also since the big frequency reorganisation a few weeks ago, the SD channels have an even worse picture quality! It was a bit ropey beforehand. As well as the AES change, Canalsat in general are employing various extra levels into their Viaccess encryption to prevent sharing that could take the channels away at any time even if the new AES key is found. No doubt the fault of the greedy servers!

TNTSAT is no longer even considered an 'official' satellite provider of the free TNT channels anyway. You can see that in action with their sham of not carrying all of the new 6 channels in HD.

I've decided to bite the bullet and get a Bis card for 13°E instead. The SD channel picture quality is a lot better over there and all the relevant HD channels are around too. I'll always have the TNT card as a backup in any case. 4.90€ per month to save me a few problems seemed worth it. I can always review the situation in 12 months. :D

I have the Bis card now. The picture is a lot nicer in MPEG4 via Eutelsat 13. :) I'm just pleased to have the HD channels back. I mainly watch TF1, France 2 and M6 and on a big screen it's nice to have the HD available.

You could have saved yourself the 5€ a month and pointed towards 9E. There is TF1HD, M6HD, and W9 (in SD) freely available, no subscription, no viewing card required. Added to that Arte HD on 13E, you would have all the french channels back, using your TNTSAT card for the rest of the SD channels.

That's true but I'm getting a lot better quality on all SD channels plus France 2 HD. The 9E feeds are bitrate starved and there's other stuff like RTL9 and AB1 I can watch on top. I paid upfront for a year for it.

I just wish the Newtec DVB-T feeds were available on 5W. They're similar to the multi stream stuff that TBS cards can show so hopefully one day!

I sometimes watch TF1 HD and M6 HD but have never noticed a lack of quality...they're equally as good as say BBC1 HD but then that's damning them with faint praise. What does irk me sometimes is that the English soundtrack on TF1 is only available on the SD version. Yes, I know I live in France and after nearly 12 years I should have a better grasp of the language than I do but if you can hear it in English, why not?......

This happens with CanalSat sometimes as well - films supposedly available in VO (version originale) only available in VF. I remember it also used to happen before when we only had SD. Even when VO is available (most of the time, to be honest) you can't turn off the French subtitles! I understand French perfectly well and my wife is a native speaker, but trying to watch an English language film in French is just painful - as an example Darth Vader's voice in VF is about as menacing as that of Basil Brush.

I was always frightened of Basil Brush ....................... any moment he could go "Boom, Boom ^-F " !

Havent had a look for a while but TNTSat seems to be down completely on my Duo. Anyone got it working atm?

And still down by the looks of it - my card isnt updating anyway.
