Hey peeps. First and foremost in order to abide by the rules of the forum, this post will not contain nor expand into the trading of card sharing server information. It is meant to hopefully clear up the basic concept of the capabilities of CCcam.

Please find attached a spreadsheet I wrote explaining what you need to do to setup a simple card share. Hope this helps the community.

Great tutorial! Nice work B16MCC:-righton

So i have my s*y card in my dreambox do i just put the F Line in my config then give out the server details?

Do i need to tell the DM800 to look @ the local card?

is there also a ccam for triple dragon avalible?
dont find any?

I want to get into card sharing.I have an echostar DVR 7000 and wonder if that would be fine and can I know what I need to download and connect to .Is there a fee to pay for film etc or are there anything free??

hi all
i hope im not bending the rules by posting this question. :S

someone is sharing with me a cline but i have 2 dreamboxs if i clone DB1 and put in DB2 and use the 2 dreams at the same time who is sharing with me is gonna know i have two boxs?
2nd cenario if in DB1 i make an fline to share with DB2 does still who shares with me know im using two boxs?
if the answer is yes to the 2 cenarios is there any way of doing what i want without who shares doesnt see im sharing?

by the way nice tutorial B16MCC thumbs up for u
thanks in advance for any reply

I cant say for sure, I'm only speaking from experience without much knowledge of how CCcam actually works.

I would think that you would be better off just creating a share on the first dreambox and receiving on the second (presuming you have a reshare), an extra hop away of course.

If only one of the boxes is online at any given time, then you could just use the same CCcam.cfg on both, but unless you are using a pay server, your peers will get P'd off if you keep going off line.

Having two clients using the same Cline doesn't seem to work well. The reason I say this is because I've come across a few idiots who don't create their own servers, they just hand out Clines they were provided by other CCcam users. This doesn't work well at all because the same login credentials are being used by too many people.

hi again i just posted but my post is gone. if this becomes duplicate sorry for the inconvinience.
first i wanna thanks for the fast reply from COMPUFUNK.

im needind for one confirmation that if i make a server from my 1st dream to the 2nd dream the guy that serves me who im paying for doesnt see my shares cause im avoiding to pay 2x for the same service.
please someone give some light in the subject. ;)

thanks in advance

I dont know of a way that they could see that you were resharing, not without them having access to the box.

Have you checked if a reshare is even available? CCcaminfoPHP will tell you whether or not a there is.

See attachment.
First 2 cards can be shared down 2 more hops.
2nd 2 dont have reshare permissions
....etc

CCC works like a server.

thanks for info, im interested in CS too. getting my first dreambox in a few days! :)

Ok guys I'll try and clear up a few things.

tomcoleman, if you're using a DM800 you cannot use a Sly Card (NDS) directly in the box with CCcam, it simply doesn't work. This has been covered many times, here and on just about every other forum. You need to use a smargo reader.

Turok, I have no idea what a triple dragon is, or on what system it is based. CCcam is available for all common platforms, but how you would adapt it I couldn't possibly comment.

Samh54, Firstly, never pay for access to a card server, its against the moral of the idea. You subscribe to a service and offer it for share, other people exchange shares with you.

quimsatanico, as mentioned you need to reshare from DB1 to DB2. Most people give out 1 reshare. Again you should never pay. Its likely you have no reshare on a pay server and therefore there's no solution to your question.

Hope this helps guys.

Hi, sorry if this is a simple question but I cant find an answer anywhere.

Is there any difference in setting up a CS for home use to one for a WAN. Can I share at home and outside? Is there any changes that have to be made to CCcam.cfg?

Thanks

No not really, create an f line for your sharing box just as for other peers, but your c line on your second box does not use your DynDns address just the ip address of your host box and the open port.In the example below the host box ip is 192.168.1.2 port 12000 username dreambox password is share
C: 192.168.1.2 12000 dreambox share

F line for host box would be

F: dreambox share

Just for the record

I´ve seen elsewhere that there could be a problem with DM500 and ccc
It stopped working and the box needed a reboot.

Don´t know if that is sorted now but if You lose connection try a reboot.

Thanks for your help.

I have another question if you don' mind. Is it possible to port forward to 2 seperate Dreamboxes at the one address?
I am on a CS and receiving and sharing. I would also like to set up another box as a server to share with a few friends using another card. Is this possible using just 1 router.

Yes it is. You will need to use 2 different ports ofcourse.
So,
1st CCcam server will use port 12000.
2nd Cccam server will use port 12001.
forward the ports to the correct box IP's accordingly and make sure you denote these ports in your CCCam.cfg files on each box

is this tutorial for a server set-up or just a generic cardshare tutorial? I am thinking about joining another cardshare server so wot would be needed for that? would i only need the C: line to be added into my config file to gain access to there shares? If so would this line go at the beginning of the config file?

Thanxs in advance

Just wanted to know is this tutorial only to set-up a ccam server or is it to set up a client as well (in the way of me just joining a ccam server and not actually being one). If the latter, would i only need to add in the C: line provided by the cccam server owner into the start of my config file?

I'm new to all this so bear with me.
