Morning to you all,
Recently moved from Italy back to the UK where i had a 1 mtr dish picking up UK TV pretty good, since moving back Astra 28 e is smack behind trees, my question is maybe there's another sat beaming UK tv

I read that 15 west has some UK channels worth checking out - hope that helps.

If you're back in the UK then a 1 mtr should have no problems picking up Astra 2 behind a clump of trees (unless said trees are made of stone & concrete)

The leaves on a tree will block the signal no matter how large the dish. Maybe it'll work in the winter when the leaves drop but no chance in the summer.

All those channels are available via a TV aerial (plus more) in the UK which would probably be a much easier way to view them.

Not neccessarily. It depends on how thick the belt of trees is. Plus there will be massive absorbtion of the signal when the leaves are wet after rain - and it rains a LOT here in the UK!

In a previous property I used a Fraccaro 85cm to grab a signal through a gap in trees. As the gap disappeared over the years as the trees grew the signal decreased until it became totally unusable even in the dry. .

Thanks guys for your responses have managed to find a position by moving the dish to the far west of the house, this thankfully is pointing to the side of the trees picking up 2E, 2F, 2G,

you are absolutely right about all the channels being on Freeview , however there are some HD channels missing ITV 2, 3, 4, also Quest that are on Sat. Enjoy your Sunday
