Using the Premiere card work outside of Germany?

My Satellite Setup
I have Hotbird, Arabsat and Nilesat
My Location
UAE, Dubai
what about watching those german channels outside of germany? does the premiere card work there?
 
The premiere card will work anywhere inside the coverage area with an appropriate receiver. The UAE is probably too far east to get coverage though.
 
Yes if you can a) receive the satellite (have a big enough dish) and b) get hold of a card.

What is your dish size?
I believe that many of the Sky Germany channels can be received with a relatively not so big dish (1.2-1.6m) in the UAE.

Check the channels under the Wide beam from 1M.
Why don't you point your dish (whatever size it is) to Astra 19.2E and see which channels you can see after scanning?
You can then worry about how to get a subscription card.

Why would you want to get the sky Germany? If you are after German programs, then there are a dungload of FTA channels available. Their movie channels are showing the same movies as all the other major packages, the mature content is the same (well all mature content is the same anyway :) so the only thing they got is the German football...

when you are from dubai,like i read in your profile,then i dont think that is posible to reive the sky germany channels?
the signal is stronger,since the change of the satellite,in greece and other areas,but not in dubai!

Take a look at the Wide beam footprint from Lyngsat.
It should be possible to receive some channels, even in the UAE.

Wide beam channels are OK in dubai - discussed and confirmed already many many times in relevant 1M topic...

but i have like scrambles channels shouldnt they work with a card?

i dont know the size of the sat as every building here has a common one unless i do apply a provite one but am not sure if i can find astra here!

once and for all:

ASTRA 19,2e 1M-WIDEBEAM DOES WORK IN DUBAI with 100cm offset dish and up! not a problem!!!! even a stronger signal than 13e Hotbird!!!!

and for all other germanspeakers: 09e --- KABELKIOSK will give you full german tv with 165-185 PFA dish-----

and yes - you will be able to find ORIGINAL SMARTCARDS for that in Dubai......
