And we can't even keep a modern phone on battery power for more than a day...

The Voyagers, to me, represent one of the biggest achievements in mankind - more than putting the man on the moon, as, to be honest, my old cars have done more miles than the distance from here to there.

weather , health and ageing parents permitting.
I wont deny I'm finding it tough atm ....but not given up hope of improvement just yet .

For those that need to know, one AU is equal to 93 million miles, so the craft is 12.843 billion miles from Earth, almost to the FTL line. A bit slow.
 
Nuclear is old hat stuff, try dark matter, it runs very clean, as no one around these parts can even see it.
 
Nah, dark matter is so passé. Now dark energy - that's another thing.
