VU+ Duo2 Boxkey

My Satellite Setup
Dreambox DM500s, DM800HD, Sky+, minidish, Fortek star 90cm dish, Fortek Star Motor.
My Location
Newcastle England
Hi all,

After a long time away I've bought a Duo2 and want to share my Sky card with my dreambox in my bedroom.

Problem is that the Duo doesn't clear the channels which I pay for.

If I look at entitlements, they show as ok until next year but all I get is a blank screen.

Do I need a Boxkey ( I only have basic package, no premium channels ), or am I missing something else.

Card is in top slot and I'm running OpenVix image.

Hope I'm not breaking any rules here.

Without knowing how to you are doing this it is impossible but lets say you use Oscam then you do not need a boxkey.

Using CCcam.

Tried Boxkey but still nothing.
 
I have read of someone else, on another forum, experiencing the same problem, after having it work for some time, they were also running CCcam.
Try Oscam, instead, it's more work, to set up, but there are lots of guides, on the internet.
 
I don't understand Oscam.

CCcam is all I've ever used.

I'm sure people still use CCcam so it must still work.
 
Which version of CCcam are you using?
CCcam is quite old now, and there are plenty of guides, on the internetm, to help you with Oscam.

There are plenty of posts across the internet about this and the only solution is OScam at present, CCcam has been obsolete for many years now so don't waste your time waiting for a fix because it is not coming.

Ok, so after a day of learning i've got Oscam.

Only problem is, it still won't prioritise local card.
 
Have you put the correct information, regarding your card, in the oscam files.
You should be able to find examples, on the internet, for sky uk files required for Oscam.
Oscam takes quite a bit of research, and learning, to get the files set up, and working, it's not just a simple matter of installing Oscam, and selecting it, in your Cams options.
 
Ok,

I have all the files I need.

My dreambox in bedroom can see my duo ( when using OScam or CCcam ) and is connected but says no cards available.

Also blank screen on Duo with non-free channels still.

I keep alternating to CCcam to compare and like I say, CCcaminfo can read cards entitlements which expire end of Jan next year but still won't work.

Could my card be faulty or should I still assume it's a setting problem.

I also read that plenty of others are still using CCcam 2.3 with no problems.
