Weird cover versions of well known songs.

Argh I want to slap Sophie Ellis Bextor for this version of the Baccara classic hit

A long time since the last one but Ive found Smokie doing "Have you ever seen the rain" tonight.

I rather like this one :)

Another one from the Ukes as it always makes me smile

Teenage Dirtbag

Not often you find a John Michelle Jarre cover, but here is The Shadows doing Equinoxe V

Commander Chris Hadfield on the International Space Station doing a rather nice version of Space Oddity!!!!!!

Its certainly the strangest place that a cover version has ever been performed!

EDIT - no longer available after Chris's rights to the song expired

2nd edit - the rights have been sorted & its back online for another 2 years :)

Expiry this time should be late 2016

Video Killed the Radio Star by The Buggles famously was the first ever track played on MTV in 1979/80. Its still a cracking track 33 years later, and I want to slap Robbie Williams for his version!

Where Do You Go To My Lovely by Right Said Fred.

Its so wrong (btw there is a long version of the original Sarstedt song floating round now which has 2 extra verses in it!)

Think I prefer the original!

I went to a concert last weekend. The ticket said "plus support" without giving a name so I wasn't expecting much. This group of street musicians snaked on to stage with all except the lead singer dressed in damson velour school uniforms a la Angus Young. Then they burst into action with a cover of You Really Got Me by the Kinks.

It was BRILLIANT. They also did covers of, amongst others, Seargeant Pepper (both intro and reprise), Tommy, Paranoid, Ace of Spades and, somewhat inevitably, ACDC's You Shook Me All Night Long.

Half way through their 30 minute set I said to my mate "I want to see these guys again!" If you ever see them on the bill somewhere don't miss them You won't be disappointed.

It was only after searching them out on YouTube that I found out that they were French. They were runners up in the French equivalent of You've got Talent.

Camille & Kennerly - sometimes know as The Harp Twins with a rather beautiful version of Send me an Angel by the Scorpions

If you like this one check out some of their other work - some of the tracks are superb

This is apparently a huge internet hit...The Russian Police Choir does Daft Punk....
