But even better if the original tapes where played half-speed, and digitized at, say 24 bit / 192 KHz, and then played back digitally.
I do understand the appeal of vinyl etc, but if you want the clarity, openness, noiselessness etc, I'm afraid pro digital stuff is the (my) choice...
