Which is the best Sci Fi series...Past and Present

That film did seem pretty shocking when I was a snapper. Im still a bit gripped about the poll, it seems to be USA flavour of the day.

I'm just so fond of those bad english ones, they have great memories but cringe factor when viewed now. Good to see votes for Hitch hikers and Red dwarf, adding comedy to sci fi. Genius.

I can't even remember that one, apart from perhaps very vaguely, I believe it was a time when I was more likely to be down the pub than watching TV. :)

What does surprise me is the amount of series that I'm now starting to remember, things like the Time Tunnel, Land of the Giants, Earth above and Beyond (very recent, very bad), Mutant X, The New Adventures of Superman, The Flash, Time Cop (the series), etc etc etc. It would be interesting to make a definitive list of all of the Sci-Fi TV series.
 
Was it Mitch, or was that the monkey in supercar?

On thinking about it, I can't remember a monkey, but there was a monkey like creature though, the name escapes me.

Another series which I'd forgotton was about interplanetary policemen, it was on about 5 years or so ago i believe, but I can't remember the name, was it Space Precinct?
 
No, I believe it was Captain Green the he reminded me of.

I once had a lovely anorak,but grew out of it. The duffel bag appeared for a short time but was a bitch to strap onto the saddle so it had to go.

Internet surfing is my only pleasure that is geeky, well the only one I admit to anyway

I would guess that almost everyone past the age of forty will have owned a Duffel bag, I certainly did. :) Strangely enough, my Dad who was a Geek before Geeks were trendy, you know the type, radio amateur, played with spectrum computers to build his own RTTY system, designed and built all of his own TV and Hi-Fi equipment, but worst of all he half inched my old school duffel bag and used it to transport his lunch and newspaper to work, said there was not a better designed bag in existence. He did of course come from the race who took a common or garden washing machine and turned it into the peoples' car ;)
 
Big R it was Space above and beyond (not earth) another dogs bollax series (but not enough of em) as for monkeyish creature
ive not got a clue myself (thats why i asked) i think some kinda number in the name. As for B5 I am getting series 1 boxset off me oldest lad for chrimbo (i might be BRIBEABLE to run a copy of the
cd`s for you). DAVE.
 
Certainly a goer for the B5 series ;) , the creature was an alien, I believe called Zooney or something similar and had bush baby type eyes, I'll look for a picture later.

Space above and beyond could have been so good, but I found it very disappointing, the plots were thin, the storyline was a bit unbelievable, a group of half a dozen rookies who were not only the top fighter pilots, but also a crack marine assault force with no discipline whatsoever and personal problems coming out of their ears, Yeah, Yeah. ;)

Special Effects were good though.
