Any one running dump 1090 willing to try an experiment?

I am getting feeds from Analoguesat and Liew.When Gerry 55 is connected I get his feed from the merged feed.I have not seen a feed from Chris for a while.His statues is connecting.The merged feed is working..

Chris offline atm - he is having major problems with his internet connection.
 
OK, I have the same incoming data feeds as pontiend now, plus mine in the merged feed. Thanks.
 
I do not know what is happening.I only have a feed from Analoguesat now.The clip is from the merged feed.

I'll switch everybody into my feed and see what happens (apart from coshing my elderly desktop!)

Yup, that's ok, except I don't have far78 on my list at present, I'm sure I have them here somewhere :confused
 
Sometimes recently when I start up VRS at night.It starts up normally then switches to what I think is the updated version.These clips are from tonight about 2110.If the same thing happens as before in the morning the normal VRS version that I prefer will work.

Yes, I had that map a day or two ago, but after rebooting it showed normally. I checked online with the term "For development purposes only", and it appears the site uploading the map has to purchase a key to display normally (presumably VRS), but as it usually returns to normal eventually, I don't know why it still changes if VRS have paid for the key ( if they need to - I've probably got the wrong end of the stick).

I have tried a reboot.I have the same result.Bedtime now I will see what happens in the morning.If it is still doing the same I will install an earlier image may be that will sort it.:)

Back to normal now.Just Me and Liew connected atm.It will probably change again tonight.

It has just done it again.VRS was normal 1/2 hour ago now the other version has come on.Any ideas how to stop it would be welcome.

Yes Im getting that "development map" in the evenings too. As far as I can tell there is nothing the end user can do to fix it.

I'll ask on the 360R fb page and see if they can suggest anything
 
OK - the advice there is to upgrade VRS to 2.4.2 which uses OSM (open street map) Im just about to take my vrs offline & try it.
 
I tried the update a while ago Dint like it I did not take VRS offline though.I think that it was the same as what is coming up now.I will give it another go later.
 
Well the upgrade went ok - just let the installer overwrite the current folders & in a few seconds I was up & running again.

There are various options to play with in the Tools - Options - Data Source tab. This is my new map with the "Leaflet-Stamen Terrain" option selected.


EDIT - (Each time you change the vrs mapa data option close your vrs splat map tab down and relaunch it - -otherwise it doesnt change)

All seems to be good - Im seeing data from you guys & you seem to be connecting to me for my data.
 
Well I have done the update.Still not too keen on it.it looks a bit washed out.I will preserver with it for a while, do some fiddling about in options.
