Was there any loss in signal strength? When it appeared, it picked up a signal, although weak I haven't been able to get a signal for at least a month.

When it appeared at the beginning of January, I scanned this frequency and captured the channels, I had around 36% signal. Nothing at this point, I've even improved the signal on the ESPN channel frequency, I don't know...

It depends on your reception location (maybe you are interference with the signal from 11014V), or you are already outside the main coverage area.

Not really - its almost certainly deliberate positioning of adjacent frequencies to limit transmission area of the BBC channels.

But for that I would have to have a Spectrum Analyzer, something I don't have.
As long as Intelsat doesn't die, I'll wait for what to do, maybe I'll check the size of the antenna.

I901 is due out of service next year when the tug satellite MEV1 ends its mission for Intelsat & tows 901 back up to disposal orbit .

a well-known "cowboy" company in the Canaries is launching a big rumor that tomorrow 27th BBC-SATBACK will be turned off from Intelsat and 1meter dish is good enough through the TELSTAR MENA beam (according to KingOfsat) .. LOL

If there is no signal, there is nothing, which is why we, those of us outside the coverage area of Intelsat 901, are the most interested to know if we still get a signal from this satellite.

Fortunately, today when it was announced that Intelsat 901 would be turned off, I discovered that the signal has not disappeared and is well and truly safe. I still haven't heard the siren call.
So we can keep the antenna in this position.

You didnt actually expect the I901 Satback service to cease yesterday did you? With no reliable reports of it happening - just some unfounded rumour from a site trying to drum up business.

One of the reputable news sites or forums will announce the news when its finally happening.
