Springwatch feed is still up on 12692 V 12000, 10db on a 1.8m

cant find it here in the uk for some reason can u post a picture of your sat dish please, thinking about getting a 1.8m dish but no idea where to get one from, can u post link to were u brought yours please?

I wish... Those are like 10m+ I imagine.


Heres mine, I have two 1.8m Dishes, one of them I bought brand new from Satellite Superstore for an insane amount of money, About 8 years ago and it was 2 grand. The 2nd one I got 'used' on ebay for £100 but it had never been installed, literally like new, and came with a heater and all sorts that I never fully use - I did have to rent a van and drive 3 hours to get it, but incredible deal really.

wow so the 2 big dishes in the middle are the 1.8m dishes? are u in the uk or not? also how do u stop the wind from moving them and is there a motor attached? ifso can u post pics of that to please, im looking for a 1.8m sat dish and im in the uk, so dont want to pay expensive for it

Yup. The Satellite Superstore stuff is pretty good quality, I didn't feel ripped off at the time. But I wouldn't spend 4 digits on sat stuff these days, it'l all be obsolete soon enough, try find a used one on ebay.

Theres an 18 inch actuator on one of them, Not really any play in it movement wise, unless its like 50-60mph wind then it does wobble maybe 1cm ish.

yea i really want 1.8m dish but it would need to be higher than the ground correct? and i have fence in the way in my back garden otherwise it would be perfect if there was enough room on the ground for it without the neighbours fence in the way etc

Not hugely, both mine are quite low down, Will depend what your location is. The only way I can see the south sky is at the bottom of my garden.

I'd never put a 1.8m on a roof or anything, it weighs a tonn.
