I'm guessing no way, but it seems kind of odd that an HD receiver can only be fitted with an SD player.

Its generally a very new thing to run BD in any linux system. Hopefully it will be added soon

Check this for some general info.

A very interesting read, belated thanks.

If anyone's interested, Dreamboxes are quite a bit cheaper for those based in CH (DM8000 £740, DM800 £285). Check out _http://www.toppreise.ch for current prices, just type "dreambox" into the search on the left.

Thanks for the link, cheapest I've seen so far, Even cheaper than used kit on ebay.

However I'm not sure about warranties and supplier support from those sites.
The Sales of Goods Act for me only covers my purchases if I have brought from UK stores/shops, and I'm not sure about laws in other european countries.

It's an electronic item and one that has teething issues (albeit software only and not hardware so far).

Very tempting. I work it out to be about 15% cheaper.

if Blu-Ray gets the go-ahead for the DM8000, will it be a straight replacement for the sd-dvd drive?? (maybe with a firmware patch too)

Thanks
