Salut,

je cherche une carte de CANAL+ pour le reception de la chaine sur AB3 (5w). Est-ce-que vous connerai ou je le actete?
L'encryptage est de Nagravision.

(Je ne veux pas le carte au digital)

Hi,

I am looking for a card for the CANAL+ channel on Atlantic Bird 3 (5w) in analouge. I have tried various companies that sell bouquets but have not had any luck.
Does anyone know where I could buy one from either new or second hand.
I don't want the digital carte.

Regards / Merci d'avance,

I dont think they have been available new for ages.

They are transmitting only to existing customers. They will be trying to convince those customers to move to digital and as soon as they manage to do that, they will certainly cease transmission.

Cheers,
vma

In which case I would like to find second hand card from someone that I could buy. Anyone?

I don't think that you would get a "second hand" card, as the existing ones belong to paying subscribers!

If I could find an old expired card, then hyperthetically, would it be possible to programme it with another code?

This analogue system is for cable terestrial television........NOT SATELLITE
As with ALL anologue systems, they will soon be aborted. Like telewest in the UK, As soon as they have replaced all the analogue receivers they will stop broadcasting.
You can put the files on an old gold card..........if you can find them, use chipcat program and nearly any programmer. You need ex eeprom and pic files.
Because most people have switched to digital receivers, they are unable to receive analogue signals, therefore no need to log the streams.
If you have a seasons interface you may be able to log and decrypt them yourself
as i havent seen them available for 4years.

qwerty is talking about the analogue Canal+ channel carried on 5W, not cable. It encrypts in the at various points during the day especially in the evening and he obviously wants to watch it.

It is possible to (but illegal) decrypt C+ using:

- analog receiver
- PC with analog TV card
- MoreTV, MeuhMeuhTV or K!TV (last two with respective plugin called MeuhMeugPlug)
- key.txt (this file contains a list of random numbers which constitute a sort of key): this is the really illegal and thus difficult to find file
- Wilma or Perfect Audio to decode the sound

The channel is encrypted with the analog Nagravision/Syster system, that scrambles lines (in 32 blocks).

The decryption is very interesting, as it uses a heuristic system: it compares the luminosity of couple of lines to find out which ones belong together. It does this for a few lines and extracts the remaining information of the image from the key.txt.

I find this interesting from a scientific viewpoint (search for Markus Kuhn's famous papers of heuristical decryption of Nagravision and Videocrypt).

I am not in favor of illegal decryption of TV broadcasts. Please don't ask me for any key.txt file.

Cheers,
vma

Thank-you vma for the information. I won't go down this route - I don't have a spare PC to sacrifice for this. Instead, I shall look into buying the Canal+ subscription, if allowed to by my other half:-Nooo

CanalSat France has been cracking down on grey subscriptions and cards are only being supplied with receivers now, so expect it to be reasonably expensive!
