Channel 4 HD by default on Sky, Freesat and Virgin Media - RXTV

Millions of Sky, Freesat and Virgin Media viewers in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland will receive Channel 4 in High Definition by default on channel 104 following a major reconfiguration.

Channel 4 HD regions go live on satellite next Tuesday. - This means Channel 4 HD will go on channel 104 across England, Scotland and NI. Currently, only Sky London viewers can see 4HD on 104. Channel 4's regions are solely for advertising purposes.

They have been testing for a while but are all encrypted. If they're going to be available on Freesat they'll go FTA. Only difference between the regions is the adverts.

Channel 4 HD still remains as 126 on Freesat. The official response from Channel 4 is they plan to move the HD variant to 104 sometime in 2023. For now Channel 4 SD remains on 104
