Computer used to heat water in swimming pool

Yes I saw that yesterday, we are just going to have to get more smart when it comes to heating, ground source heating is hardly in use in the UK because it is so expensive to firstly install and secondly run and nobody i.e. plumbers and civil engineers appear to be interested in it.

My server is water cooled, but it would only heat a small cup of coffee.

And as far as ground heat goes, I live about 50 miles from one of the biggest super volcano's in the world, I you drill down about 4000 feet you could heat a small town, there are lots on hot springs around also.

Well it does say a small data centre, but your point reinforces our necessary future direction. In a number of countries i.e. Finland and Norway whole towns are supplied with central heating via massive heat source installations and have been for many decades

If you could harness all the hot air coming from Westminster recently you’d probably heat the whole of the UK free of charge.
