CrazyCat

On @CrazyCat's birthday, I wish him "Happy Birthday in good health" and, as his country is, a lot of peace and quiet.
May the Most High keep him from the tragedies he sees around him.
We are with him wherever he may be, but especially now.:-anniver

I wish @CrazyCat a "Happy Birthday." :-bbaloon1
I also wish safety and peace for him and all those around him who have been living for several years under the terror and aggression of the Russian barbarians, especially since these bombings have intensified in his area and beyond in recent weeks.

Since I haven't seen him on the forum for a long time, I hope we will see him among us again soon, so that we can enjoy his presence and the help he has generously offered us whenever we needed it.:)

O follow @satesco's words and wish CrazyCat all the best.

It is a shame that people cannot just live in peace. May all wars end and that those that instigated them get punished.
Happy birthday, crazycat.
My the dictators of this world rot in hell....

Putin's barbarians bombed (for the umpteenth time) the region where our colleague CrazyCat lives.
I haven't seen him on the forum for a while, which, unfortunately, raises questions about whether something unpleasant has happened in his area. Do you have any information about his fate? :confused

We have every reason to be concerned about the lives of many Ukrainians, and in particular Crazycat, after the butcher from the Kremlin showed no mercy for the lives of many innocent people.

If he is reading this but cannot communicate, I would like to convey my/our concern for his life and condition, and let him know that we are thinking of him and wish him a Happy New Year 2026!.
May he return to this forum, where I am sure many users who appreciate him and wish him well :).

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed laws extending the martial law and general mobilization for another 90 days - until February 3, 2026.

So, he was probably mobilized and sent to the front.

There was information on Telegram that in the summer must he had enter to in the army.

I was deeply saddened to learn that Evgeniy Plekhov, known as CrazyCat (crazycat69), has passed away.

I sincerely hope that this news is not trustworthy, and that what I feared most has not happened.

If confirmed, the loss of our colleague would be a significant loss for our community of satellite enthusiasts and beyond.

As I have said on other occasions, what he did for us gave meaning and made possible a meaningful dialogue between these enthusiasts.

You may disagree, but in my opinion, we exist primarily because of him.

RIP :(

This is deeply sad news.

I'm so sorry, this is a terrible loss for us and for his entire family.
The best in this field.
We hope this bad news is corrected.

I hope it is not true. And perhaps all of that for a horrible and pointless war. He would be deeply missed indeed.

Bad news, I hope this war ends soon.

RIP.

The news, if true, is indeed terrible. Sad for our forum and most of all his family.

I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THIS.

I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THIS.
At his age, around 50, it's hard to believe.
Because I don't believe it either, I had doubts about posting this sad news.:unsure

Given that there are some reservations (and rightly so) about what I posted yesterday about CrazyCat's death, and to dispel any suspicion surrounding his disappearance, perhaps it would be better to mention the source from which I learned the sad news.

Yesterday, I spoke with a former colleague of CrazyCat's, and the first thing he told me was about our colleague's disappearance. He has not been heard from since last fall, the exact date is unknown, and he has been searched for persistently. However, there has been no response to repeated calls to find him.

Concerned about CrazyCat's fate, the International Red Cross was eventually called in. Through them, it was discovered that one of the names on the list of the deceased was Evgeniy Plekhov, aka CrazyCat. But because there were several people with similar names on the list they received, there is still hope that a mistake was made.

That is where we can still hope that @CrazyCat will reappear among us one day. However, given the conditions of war in Ukraine and the martial law imposed in 2022, the information that people there and abroad are receiving must be taken with a grain of salt as long as the names of the missing are not officially announced.

So everything we know about our colleague comes from the International Red Cross. How credible this source is is up to each individual to decide. However, as life experience in many extreme situations has shown us, people are capable of believing even the unbelievable, for better or for worse.

And as the saying goes, hope is the last thing to disappear!
So let's hope that there was a mistake on the Red Cross list.
