DM500HD Clone. What image should i put on?

I've recieved my DM500HD clone from china. All is working, but want to update the image.
Can anyone recomend a good image to use for a clone?
someone suggetsed a gemini2 5.3

Welcome to the forum tempster :)

Be very very careful with Gemini images - a few years ago the pulled a nasty stunt of releasing an update that deleted the bootloader of clone 500s and it bricked no end of them with no easy recovery.

Im not saying they would do this again but you never know.
 
First of all you have to find out what SIM the clone box has in it.

Does it have the Fararri Sim in it, The E-Star Sim or sim 2.01?

If you don't install the correct image the box will not work. The E-Star sim requires you to get an original image and modify it to run on the box using a program from e-star.

If you install a genuine image to a clone box it will not work. There are sites which have modified images on them for different sims which should be easy enough to find with google.

Thanks all for the comments. Been around but for some reason some of my old post had been deleted. Also did not really get into the sat thing until recently.
Its a ferrarri sim i think. was on yaoxin but the adverts been pulled. hope they wont blow up.
Will try a google search as i want a decent image on there with the latest ccam.
 
many of the images have removed the download servers - gemini switched theirs off months ago.

You can still load cams manually of course.

The image depends on the Sim card. Sat-universe always have dozens of Dreambox images.
We used to sell ferrari Dreambox 500HD but now we sell Dreambox 500HD with Sim 2.1.
Sim 2.1 can use original images, ferrari can only use ferrari patched images.
 
If you bought a genuine receiver you wouldn't need to worry about what image to use, the Xtrend ET5000 knocks socks of the DM500HD and is only £219 :D

STOP TELLING LIES!!!. Dm500hd with sim 2.10, needs patched images to work, you can't use original images unless they have been patched, you just need to look on the sim2.site to find that out (dreamoem) every post you make is trying to promote what you sell, not help people that has a problem.
