Dreambox frozen

iam new on site and i need some help.my dreambox 500v8 has sotoped working.its frozen completely.i tried flashing it using dreamup but its not linking with my pc.what should i do?please help
 
thanks for the help,i tried but it keeps telling me to connect the dreambox.its as if the box is not recognised.iam still stuck.any more ideas please?help guys.'O'-red

Sounds like you need to jtag it, but these clone 500's are cheap as chips and almost throwaway when they go wriong

It might be more cost efefective just to take it up the local tip and give it a decent burial in the electronics scrap bin.

i need to get another one if possible.the guy who sold me the last one is trying to reap me off.its just worked for a year.help
 
Did he sell it you with a Card Share?
 
Make sure you use a null modem cable not a standard rs232 other wise it won't connect
 
hi,he didn't give me any card share.but thanks anyway the null cable helped me to flash it but i can only view free view channels.how can i get it to show the sports?
 
Thanks freon. the null cable helped n now my dream box is alive again.how do i get to watch sports.it shows the info but no picture at all.help!!!
 
Most sports are encrypted - you need access to a valid subscription to view them.
