Flashing Original DM800 images on Sim 2.01 Models

Credit goes to redout for finding it and SIM201 Team for creating a great way to flash original images on clones with a 2.01 sim. Thought it should have its own thread as it can be useful. I have tested this myself with the latest DreamElite original image from their forum and flashed it over the network using the web interference feature and has been working great for 2 weeks now.

Hi All , sim 201 team , who aint been doing alot lately , have just released a gem , we are now able to use original images in clone boxes

Flash any original image with bl76 (do not reboot) and then flash the patched bl76a and the image is ok ,

confirmed working 100% on DreamElite BH 1.3.3D , will report when other images are tested

tested Gemini2 5.0 Flash via dreamup as web does not seem to work for me
Webif = mixed results with images for some reason , like gemini2 5.0 if i used webif it would not work but if i used DreamUP_1_3_3_6 it worked 100%

1- Flash Original Gemini 5 via dreamup
2- Do not reboot
3- Flash ss76-to-ss76a_beta-20100713 via dreamup and reboot

All functions work including driver update


openpli works 100% with latest nightly build

Conclusion is that Dream Elite , Gemini , Allrussian , LT Sixth , OpenPli , Satonline , All work with original images passing the ssl76a after install.

If the box is a genuine then it will work directly without using this method as the images are designed to work on genuines only but there is no harm in using this method so if the images do not work directly then this method will work.
 
I cannot understand this sim2.01 dm. I have an original Dm800 and had trouble with installing an image for sim2.01. Is this a new upgraded box? can i upgrade mine?
 
sim 2.01 is for cloned boxes only to allow original images patched for this, original dms will use original images and cannot use sim2.01 images ,
 
Thanks for the info....so I there is no way to use these images on an original box.....as now most images are for sim2.01.....
 
Is there a way to install sim 2.01 images on original box......why because obvious they are the latest image and are better than older images and even faster? does anyone know how?
 
As was said before these images are patched (ORIGINALS) !!! to work on sim 2.01 so there must be Originals !!!

No, you cannot. You have to use one's that support original as the images made for 2.01 are different. If your having trouble finding some go on _http://www.8a8f8.com/ they have a good collection of images.
