Is HD picture quality better on Humax?

Which receiver performs better in the rain, or with lower signal strenghts?

Could you take some screen shots of the Menu setups, so we can see how Freesat is organised?
No luck finding a Freesat HD receiver online.

Humax HD boxes due in on Monday, Limited stock though.

I have a Humax FoxSat HD box too, funny thing is it does a couple of strange things and was wondering if anyone else was experiencing the issue.

Firstly, when I switch off to standby, after a couple of mins the box display has this spinning graphic in, this stops and the word appl appears in the display. This goes and now the time displayed is 1 hour less than it should be.

Secondly, when I switch on I get the same spinning graphic in the display window followed by the same appl word and then it switches on.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi

how do you get into the hidden menu ?

thanks

Here is a guide for you

You can add non-freesat channels via the SETUP menu.
When you first install the product (and have a DiSEqC switch in place) the receiver will detect the DiSEqC input it is receiving the freesat channels from and display this on screen.
To access the Advanced menu (hidden):
- Go to Menu> SETUP
- Press RED, GREEN, YELLOW, BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW, BLUE
- 2 options appear:
Antenna Setting
Manual Tune
- In Antenna Setting select your Antenna Type (Fixed, SCD, Motor*, SMATV)
- Setup as required and then use Manual Tune to search for the channels.
