I can get CBS reality +1 but for some reason CBS reality does not work, I am using freesat on astra 2A

There have been lots of frequency changes recently.

CBS-Reality is now on 11427V 27500 2/3

BTW the satellites now in use are Astra 2E 2F & 2G - the older birds have all been pensioned off.
 
Its just a label, it doesnt really matter what it says as long as you know thats 28E :)
 
Looking at your channel list you need to have a good prune of dead channels. :D
 
I know I was just trying at the moment to get CBS reality to work so that is a full scan :-) but still ony CBS reality +1 working my head now hurts
 
Do you have a dect phone near the satellite box? They are known to knock out some frequencies although I would have thought 11427 is a bit low for this problem.
 
Also notable is that CBS Reality is on 2E/11426V (UK Beam) whereas CBS Reality+1 is on 2G/11264H (European Beam).

As you are in the UK, this may have no consequence at all, but the two muxes are on different sats, the transponders have different footprints, and different polarisations.
Here's a couple of questions that will shed light on your situations:
1) can you get any of the other 11426V mux (Food Network UK, Bloomberg TV - see lyngsat.com)?
2) can you get any of the high H channels (CBS action UK)?
3) do you get any of the other 2E low H channels (Film4 etc?)
4) do you get any of the other 2E low vertical channels (E4, E4+1)?


Your dish may be slightly out of alignment, allowing reception of 2G but not 2E
Your LNB may be broken, working only on horisontals, not verticals.
Or something else...
 
food network comes up as scrambled, I can see CBS action(ladies on bed with phones:-( ) film 4 okay E4 no signal

just the CBs reality comes up no sound or vid?

Hmm lokking at http://en.kingofsat.net/pos-28.2E.php shows CBS reality as SKY only:-(

But if you look at the encryption you will see it is listed as Clear, so you should be able to scan it in, and view it.
 
CBS Reality is definitely FTA. CBS Action (despite the name) doesn't feature ladies with phones on beds. Can you do a blind scan? As A/S posted, lots of frequencies have altered of late and it sounds like your frequency database is out of date.

You could try a NIT or network scan if you box doesn´t allow blind scan. Best thing to do, and I know it sounds scary the first time, go into channel manager and delete all channels, then do a NIT or network scan on Astra 2. This will remove all old non-working channels and register all new ch´s on new frequencies, ( hopefully )
 
right I have deleted all channels and now starting a new scan, wifey hovering with something long and hard in her hands, and it is not nice:-(
 
your right still no CBS reality only +1 and now can't see bbc1 HD ho Hum Hmm! found BBC1 HD phew
 
Find the transponder list in the menu structure & work through it methodically - you are just missing a few frequencies. Network scans can be iffy at times.

Add the missing ones using the parameters on the Flysat website.
