help wanted to keep wife happy

I think your box have an outdated network definition.
You need to update the box somehow, or do the so-called blind-scan. Not sure this will work for you.
I am not famliar with the Passion - is it a Freesat box?
If not, you need to update the channel list, in case it can't read the NIT.

I keep scanning I have changed transponer feq to 12109 H 27500, is there anything else I can try:-)

12109 wont do you any good thats only carrying Sky encrypted channels.

Forget that one, and do a manual single transponder scan on 11427V 27500 2/3

As usual, AS is correct, a manual scan on 11427V will get you CBS Reality, also the food network, in case you are hungry after toiling away for hours!

This might help you with scanning and setting it to scan properly, you might have to scan twice using different settings to get all channels from what I can gather at a quick glance.

ASDA is still open, buy a new receiver, quicker and cheaper, and keeps the wife happy

I could but we have 2 running one downstairs through one upstairs so that would be 2 to buy and when would the Asda ones go out of date:-(

Normally the minute you walk out the door! Nah! just joking, 10 - 15 years, more than that if you buy a good one. I have an old Pace skybox that was built in about 1990, still works now, best one they ever made!

I have now some how got reality to work, but I have lost BBCHD no signal and other bbc and ITV channels no signal?what should my satellite transponder be set as does this make a diff?

If you live in the UK then something is wrong with your dish alignment/setup as you should get these channels easily.

I was using set edit version 1.05, the strange thing is I upload to the passion plus with the HD channels on then after sorting files a bit in the passion+ unit when I do a write to the USB stick and then look at file in set edit and the HD channels are not there:-(

I sorted out the problem with the viewing of channels (feel stupid with that) but other problem is still rife with the uploads and downloads
the wife had the other unit which I am feeding through was on and not in standby:-) which was why I did not see the signals for all the channels,

Thread moved to the Fortecstar HD receiver section.

This section deals almost exclusively with Fortec Passion/Passion+ receivers, so please post any further Passion queries here.

Although fairly ancient now considering the advance in receiver design and capabilities, there may be some posts that might help.

I haven't used my Passion for some time now, but I do recall at one stage loading a channel list from my receiver to Setedit and finding HD channels had migrated to the Radio list...

I have 2 passion+ recievers on Astra28.2

but I have a problem with getting HD for BBC and itV, I see the frequency has changed and is showing as 11024H23000, 10847 V 23000 and ITV 11097 V 23000, my system does not show 11024 or 11097 as selectable, am I stuffed?

is it possible to edit the firm ware DNL files to alter it?

my system does not show 11024 or 11097 as selectable

Is it not possible to enter a transponders details manually instead of selecting them from a list?
