HEVC will it be important enough to buy a new receiver?

If the UK still has FM then in reality the other side of the channel is unlikely to deviate.
DAB seems to be useful in places like Paris,LyonLondon...,where the FM frequencies are all taken & more are needed. Also if your kitchen is at the back of a concrete building & there are others around,FM wont get in,but DAB may.
I saw that in Brussels & my friend there was happy with DAB...
So,2 systems,2 uses.

FM will pass better through solid material than DAB, the proximity of the transmitter is going to be the reason for the opposite.

I'm not sure how many channels can be carried on the 88-108 MHz band (I know it is more than 86) but quality will always cost more bandwidth than quantity.
