ITV3 & ITV4 SD not available on Astra 2E 28.2 ?

Just as a test, I downloaded the "Free VPN" App onto my iPhone, then logged into the ITV app and selected ITV4 “playing now” Well that worked, so the next thing was to try to Airplay the content via my Apple TV 4 (A1625) onto my large TV but that didn’t work, so there must be some block or a particular restriction, or maybe Orange ( ISP) are restricting the source from Airplay to my big screen. On the Apple TV I looked at Content & Privacy Restrictions, but nothing really related to what I was looking for. Not sure I am making sense with that final conclusion.
 
You're welcome! I ve equally enjoyed the BBC for....most of my life,as a teacher of English.
So,feel free to ask about France!
Let's hope UK's political options will not end up killing the BBC...

I downloaded the App onto my iPhone, I do not have an Android phone.

I have sent you a few jpgs so you can see what it looks like so you could try to download it, once you click on it you can earn reward hour, by watching a few ads and then you are offered different duration options depending on how many ads you are prepared to look through, or you can by the premuim edition, but I could not Airplay my content onto my big screen, maybe an Android phone if you can download it, will allow you to Airplay to a seperate screen.

as of 2024-july-08 I can still receive ITV 4+1 (sd) on 10893 21996 H AID-2353 VID-2354 SID-27B6 but for how long??? One can find out other ITV channels with an old receiver which shows Freq H/V PID and the like....

Hello All,

Just touched down here in the South of France.

ITV HD satellite feeds are almost impossible to view, even with my old sky HD compatible STB. Olympic coverage here in France on terrestrial TV CH's 2, 3 & 5

BBC HD feeds are not very stable via satellite either.
 
Where in the south of France? Your location still shows London. What size dish are you using?
 
I actully live permanantly in the UK, but we have a holiday home in Lorgues where we spent parts of the year here.
Not sure of the size of the Dish ( pics attached )

I had the Large one that picks up Astra 28.2E satellite put up 6 years ago, never had any issues with SD feeds, but HD feeds now seem to be a problem. the small dish picks up the Astra 19e satellite which works perfectly with either HD or SD.

propagation goes up and down all the time.
It just crashed yesternight... rain in Paris,I guess London too... signals thereby hindered maybe?
When Royals are on,it works much better...Opening of Parliament also was a hit!
Olympics on France 2,3,4,5<.just zap through the 4 main public channels & check France.tv replays!
A lot of Olympics on German TV too,astra 19E,ARD/ZDF,eurosport German...
 
for the old ITV s check Kingofsat they keep being moved around lately...

The HD channels use the DVB-S2 transmission format which needs more signal for successful reception over the old DVB-S format.

C4 HD & C5 HD came in nice and strong.

I will see haw the BBC new scans fair in a few days time, they are now coming in but with digital feeds as you know its either all or very little.

I too have problems with ITV 4 as i wanted to watch the footie, why oh why ?
I am here in Normandy region 72 (near Alencon 61)
can anybods help ?
