Kartina TV and satellite provider SES will launch a joint project

IPTV provider Kartina TV, together with global satellite operator SES, are preparing to launch a project under the working title Kartina Satellite, said Andrei Reich, general manager of Kartina TV. The brand will contain the Kartina brand, but Kartina Sat. is also considered a commercial name.

Within the framework of the project, it is planned to launch approximately 32 Russian channels on the Astra satellite (19.2 East), of which 6 are in HD quality. Andrei Reich specified that these will be international versions of TV channels. "We have a rather large choice, because in total there are about 50 channels" cleared , he said.

Some of the channels are Ukrainian too ;)

The channels will encrypt at some point - subs will be starting about €5/month

Sadly most of the Ukrainians will be encrypting in the near future.
