'The camera's successful imaging of Odyssey and of the European Space Agency's Mars Express in April 2005 produced the first pictures of any spacecraft orbiting a foreign planet taken by another spacecraft orbiting that planet.'
In the episode 'Closeup' in the series UFO, Shadows probe was able to follow the alien craft back to their planet and take a few shots, so I thing they should retract that statement ;)
Amazing that the pictures are so clear at 60 odd miles and that they could even get to within 9 miles of each other.

Interesting stuff.
One Apollo moon mission landed near a previous robot lander (surveyor? ranger?), the astronauts broke off a piece, and took it back with them.
They probably didn't photograph the landing site from orbit, but wouldn't they have to see it before descending, or did they just trust in their NASA lunar maps?!
