My gt media V8 satellite finder 2 is having multiple issues. It's currently not booting. Before it finally stopped booting, the initial finder name displayed on the screen was distorted and greenish, with vertical bands running across the screen. It used to boot and then display the menu icons. It would not display on my TV when I connected it with the HDMI cable. When I tap on "installation" to open the satellite list, it would stop scrolling and just freeze.
 
Probably broken flash, RAM or CPU. Might be broken traces or solder points.

Don't waste time on this.
 
These cheap & nasty satellite finders probably arent worth repairing. However if you want a go carefully take it apart & see if there are any obvious broken solder points on the boards.

If you arent confident then an electronics expert will need to look at it for you.
 
They weren't cheap when first released, but you can get the finder 2 now for around £40-45 on various seller websites.

Roughly an hour's repair of any engineer's time before collection/return/parts.
