out of sync audio and pic

any ideas why the picture and audio is out of sync on HD channels i realise there would he a delay between tx and rx on sats but its a large out of sync.
 
On some receivers you can add delay to the audio, it may be worth checking the menus incase it's been set to a high figure.

This feature exists because the 'input lag' on televisions (caused by image processing) delays the video and can cause the sound to be out of sync, especially if the audio is being routed through a separate audio system where lag is almost non-existent.
