As a majority of you would know by now, something happened, that I, personally, consider to be quite a nasty move from the manufacturers of the Magic module.
The new Penta v.1.10 with C*nax support was released by "Ushtar", yet it has been specially designed limited functionality built in.)(-red
To start with, it supports only the newly released MM hardware - v.1.04. :mad:

Puzzled users investigated the issue and discovered, that there was no hardware difference between v.1.04 and v.1.03 except for the soldered bridge between two pins. )(-red This caused a lot of frustration in the user groups and withdrawal of MM support from Satkinder site.

The other "feature" was a timer incorporated in the new Penta release that disables the software in a certain period of time.

Thanks to those amongst us with time and skill on their hands there is now a Penta 1.10 "hack" available, that supports ALL hardware versions of the module. :) The countdown has not been disabled yet, but watch this space. ;)

Most recent update: Penta 1.11 has been just released by "Ushtar", who, it seems, surrendered to hackers. Works with all MM hardware and has no expiry built in :D

It looks like yesterday's events have proved Nickolai's case, the 1.11 would appear to be unaffected and working fine, whilst the 1.10 has suffered, it has been strongly advised (by those in the know} to upgrade to 1.11 or downgrade to 1.09 immediately.

One hobbyist managed to beat the bomb by taking his MM out of the receiver (which hadn't been in use), changing the date on the receiver and then upgrading to 1.11, not sure though, whether this will work in all cases and it won't work if the MM has already had it's bootloader wiped.
 
l have magic modul(axas) 1.09 and echostar reciver 3000 ipvia.l download 1.11conax file my cam to see 1 west thor but l can not see the kiosk chanel.All others fine.has anybody knows whats the problem.
 
Kiosk channels don't open with an MM on the Echostar 3000, Arab. Not without a hardware change to the cam. If you had another MM in the top slot at the same time that may work ok.
 
You need the cas interface. turn it into mr, it is better at the moment

hello, I have a Magic Module too, but how is it possible to watch conax channels. Do i need an extra card or do i have to download a specific penta version ?
 
You cannot watch Conax channels unless you have a valid subscription.
