hi everyone new to the forum
i have just brought a second hand satlook nit off ebay
powered it up the crt spectrum screen seems to be ok but the
lcd menu display is faulty all i get is a back light
have tried pressing functions going blind on the key pad eg)tone,
ber/qpsk screen, fullspan etc and this seems ok anyone had a simlar problem
is it just the lcd gone (it does have a back light and can just make a out a dim grid of dots no text
any advice greatly appreciated

could be the contrast i can make mine dissapear,turn the backlight off and see if you can see any settings failing that is there aeset button to press

I would give Emitor a ring in the morning and ask them if the problem can be addressed by a software update, or any controls. If not, then you need to send the meter back, as you really need that display.

I'll go and get mine and see if there is anything to adjust.:)

hi thanks for the reply the spectrum display screen is fine
have turned the contrast by this only alters the spec dislay screen
(my problem is with lcd menu display)
where abouts is resrt button

Can't find any adjustment for the LCD screen, not sure there's a reset button either.

Sounds like a faulty screen to me.

Its a miracle started working now
when i brought the seller said fully functional but later after sell
said battery had problems holding charge he left me option of
buying one or he would replace took option of replacing myself
now its been on for a couple of hours i turned it off turned it back on again and screen appeared i am hoping battery was so flat it was causing some problems its such a nice piece of kit i am hoping this is the problem

You won't be disappointed with the meter, they're a cracking unit.

To be honest, battery life on these units are not the best, they draw alot of power, i can use my meter for about 2 hours before the battery is completely drained out and it's a new battery.

hi every one changed battery today and the lcd packed up again
i will ring emitor (has suggested)and see what they say but looks
like i will be trying to get a refund for it
bit disappointed as when is working it seems great
(ps paid £200 for it)
