My Satellite Setup
SKYBOX F3
My Location
London, UK
My Skybox F3 was receiving SKY UK (free) channels fine, until yesterday when we stupidly disconnected the box to try another one. Now I only see K_hotbird 6/8/9 and k_astra 1H/IK/1L as satellite options, how do i add back my UK channels. Im not tech savvy, so in need of help?

I can't be specific, but the menus look like my Openbox V8S so it may be similar.

Press menu on the remote. Then scroll across to the 'Installation' section. In that section there should be a 'Satellite List' option. Press OK to enter the satellite list, scroll down to Sky UK 28A E28.2 and press OK to put a tick next to it. Then press exit to go back to the installation menu and select 'Single Satellite Search'. The options should be selected as:

Satellite: Sky UK 28A
FTA Only: Yes
Scan Channel: TV Channel or TV + Radio
Scan Mode: Preset Scan
Network Search: Yes
Then down scroll to 'Search' press OK.

Hi thanks but im only seeing K_hotbird 6/8/9 and k_astra 1H/IK/1L as satellite options, i dont see Sky UK as a option, and i dont know how to add this, any thoughts?

Did you find 'Satellite List' in the menu?

There must be an option to add another satellite. Post a photo of the menu/satellite list.

Strictly speaking if the dish is fixed with one LNB pointing at 28.2 east it doesn't matter what the satellite name is, a blind scan should still find the channels. Set Scan Mode to Blind and try that.

1 - how can i check the LNB?
2 - how can i check the installation antenna is correct
3 - if i select the green button to add - what do i complete in this screen.

very lost - sorry for my ignorance!

From the your second picture, press the green button, then add:

Name: Astra 2 Sky UK
Longitude: 028.2 E
LNB Freq: Universal (9750-10600)
DiSEqC 1.0: Disable
DiSEqC 1.1: Disable
22K: Auto (may be greyed out)
Motor Type: Off
Select OK to save.

It should take you back to your second photo. Use the arrow keys to move onto the new Astra 2 satellite and press OK to put a tick next to it. Then press 4 on the remote while Astra 2 is highlighted.

FTA Only: Yes
Scan Channel: TV + Radio
Network Search: No
Scan Mode: Blind Scan
Then select OK to scan.

Try setting DiSEqC 1.0 to Port A.

On the back of the box, check you've connected the cable to 'LNB in' and not 'LNB out' or 'loop'. The connectors are the same but one is input, the other is output.

P.S. Polarity H/V is correct, sorry I missed that :)

Checked the box, cables are correct. Tried changing DiSEqC 1.0 to Port A or 1 on my box. Still no luck:( Also i have noticed in the antenne setup there is no transponder, any idea what that should be if anything?

Can you please tell us your satellite setup. If you have 3 satellites then you must be using a Diseqc switch, a motor, or your receiver has 3 tuners.
In your picture you have only 2 satellites listed, Astra 1, 19.2E, and Astra 2, 28.2E, but earlier you had Hotbird, 13E, listed.

yes i deleted hotbird. hotbird and astra 1 only appeared yesterday, it wasnt there before. i dont use them. I am only interested in the SKY UK channels

In Antenna Setup what readings are you getting for Signal Intensity and Signal Quality? This may not be the same but my Openbox (with identical menus) shows:

No LNB connected - 36% Intensity & 10% Quality
LNB connected - 45% Intensity & 10% Quality

If yours shows 36% for intensity then that would indicate a problem with the connector, cable, or LNB.

If you enter TP List, you can add Frequency 11426, Symbol Rate 27500, Polarity H. Make sure it's for Astra 2.

Intensity is 31% - tried adding the TP list - no luck.

Hi - RubyT ....... do you have any transponders in you transponder list for 28 E ?

If not try adding the one ozumo suggests in the above post . and if all is correct you should see a signal to scan

Hi. I can only see the one transponder 11426/27500.
Factory reset gives me the 2 satellites I started the thread with. This is making me want to cry…,
