We are happy to announce that in our SatDreamGr images we have managed to finally incorporate support for TBS tuners, especially TBS5925 and TBS5980 using Crazycat's work as a base.
After a long period of testing, the first receiver fully scanning all Multistream channels and ACM/VCM 16APSK/32APSK channels as well is Edision OSmini. Soon enough we will extend functionality to all receivers we support that run in kernels higher than 3.8.
So far, scanning and zapping through MIS is seamless and very fast. We are working hard to also implement blindscan features and investigate direct T2-MI encapsulation.
Our patches will be available soon in openPLI (on which SatDreamGr images is based) with hope that more developers/coders will create new plugins such as Crazyscan for Enigma2 to extend these cards' capabilities.
Here is a video which demonstrates scanning and zapping on my own OSmini receiver.
We will keep you informed for any progress. The road is finally open so stay tuned!

TBS MIS support has now been extended to Solo4K and ET10000 receivers. If you have any of these and a TBS card, it's worth a good try!

This is very cool! So the TBS module is used as an external tuner? Are any others supported (TBS5922 for example)?

Any progress on T2-MI features?

I just checked my vu duo running open pli, look in the plugins menu, and press the red/green button to download plugins.

Then scroll to the "drivers" section and scroll through until you see the tbs driver.

Download it, reboot, and plug your card in and you should be away.

(Side note I do not own a 5925)

There's also a GUI aspect of this, where you select MIS stream - I don't think it will be part of the drivers package.

Thanks a lot Chris1979 and Captain Jack. I will do a test this evening. Therefore i have to switch first to an openpli image i think. Or is there a solution for openatv too?

I am unable to say about any other image, I have a vu duo, I run open pli.

And last night I checked the drivers page, of the download plugins, section and found it.

Good luck anyway, for tonight. With the test.

Just as a side note, put the @ in front of our name, then you will tag us, and we can respond a bit quicker, as it's easy to missout something.

@Chris1979 i did a test yesterday with the last satdreammgr image. I was able to install the 5925 box and scan for channels without any problems. The MI and Pls
informations can be found in the sat finder plugin. I will do further tests on weekend (5 West MI).

I Hope there is also a solution for openatv in the near future, i need that image for ci+ support.

I will make a detailed HD video in the coming days with the usage in Enigma2/SatDreamGr OpenPLI based images. The card is used as an external tuner and runs very smoothly and fast (at least up to kernel 4.3). T2-MI needs extra coding and a better understanding how it works. I think it could be possible but for the moment we really need developers who support the card in Linux to adapt plugins for Enigma2 such as Crazyscan to make this card fully usable without the need of a PC. For that to happen the implementation should spread in more images or the owners should own an Enigma2 receiver with kernel above 3.8 and of course be interested!

So far the main OpenPLI core has not patched Enigma2 for use with PLS scrambling although the drivers are available for download. This is why you cannot really use TBS USB cards in images other than SatDreamGr for the moment!
The truth of the matter is we need more people to make the project blossom, we are literally two persons (Athoik and I) in SDG team that work on it!

Most of the information I read, was from the open pli forum. Can you please post some of the photos?

Here's an HQ video with general usage, scanning and zapping normal and multistream channels on 5W! Almost 700 services on this orbital is incredible! I use a custom satellites.xml I made with PLS modes and codes inside!

Will this work on a Dreambox 800SE

Nope, only models with kernel above 3.8! Blame DMM for that...

Thanks for posting the video. That's good news about the modded xml file, that will allow you to scan in the French multi stream channels.

Of course! You can test it on openPLI with TBS driver installed (on receivers with kernel above 3.8) without the Enigma2 patch to see if it scans the multistreams, or on SatDreamGr images as the video shows! Please let me know your results!

What sat receiver are you using ? Is this going to work with a Azbox ME with the right kernel and image etc ?
