tv cabo with coolsat

My dad is based in portugal and wants me to send him a CoolSat after he heard so much about it from me.
Before I do, I want to make sure it will actually work in the portugal. I at first thought maybe a firmware change would suffice. However, I have not found a single post from googling that says CoolSats are the preferred choice in the portugal like they are in the US.

Have a look in the Portuguese section, there are sections for all of the popular receivers in use in Portugal, zero in on the busiest one and have a look at the posts using babelfish or similar. That should give you an idea on what to buy. :)

Having a quick look on google, a Coolsat system looks exactly like a Technomate.

Why not get a Technomate instead?

yes just buy him a technomate 1500ci as they can be patched to get tv cabo on 30west or diablo/t-rex supermodule cam as that also does tv cabo and digital +
