TBH, that is a programme that I would not even want to watch in SD :eek: - but each one to his own!

I believe they are testing 4K this year. From the tech specs:

MPEG4/H.264 422 198.6048 Mbps

For the dumb the 4k transmisson will not be FTA ? What is hypermux NS3 i ?
 
Poor showing in terms of 5.1 surround sound tonight on the channels I can receive that are showing it!

BBC Four HD is stereo only, along with France 4, and ERT HD (all full HD 1080i). Then stereo only on La 2 (Spain) in SD and Rai 4 (I don't have a Tivu card so I can't check Rai 4 HD).

One HD (ARD) is the only one broadcasting the full 5.1 soundtrack. (HD 720p)
 
RAI 4HD has the AC3 audio track active (headphones only so cant tell if its full DD)
 
FWIW Belarus 24 is over an hour behind everyone else!! 21.15 uk time and they are just showing the Swedish entry

The feed broadcasts at a staggering 40mbps bitrate and two MPEG2 2.0 stereo audio channels plus the s302m coded multitrack 7.1 surround track which I cannot decode on any of my players on my PC.
The picture quality of course is breathtaking!

Surprisingly there has never seemed to be any decoder for Dolby E created anywhere. It would be good if it could be transcoded to AC3/E-AC3.
