Earthquake detection and predictions

Well the South side looking at Carson City is so full of old mine tunnels that some think a good sized crack would drain the lake.

Carson City is at 4650 feet, the lake shore is at 6250 feet, with the lake depth at 1644 feet, some of the deepest mines go West to the lake, some as deep as 500 feet and stretch for miles.

P.S. there is no magma under Lake Tahoe, the quakes are all tectonic.

A report on Friday issued after experts carried out a risk assessment at the volcano's summit, said "seismicity and ground deformation continues to indicate the presence of magma under the Goma area, with an extension under Lake Kivu".

Volcanologists say the worst-case scenario is of an eruption under the lake and could release hundreds of thousands of tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) that are currently dissolved in the water's depths.

The gas would rise to the surface of the lake, forming an invisible cloud that would linger at ground level and displace oxygen, asphyxiating life.
 
Some reports suggest the second Goma eruption is a false alarm.
 
That place is a stink hole, you dont want to go there, it was nice back in the 50's, but now...YUK.

And now something happening at Mt. Hood in Oregon, is it going to pop??

Whilst not on a major fault line, La Palma has been experiencing a number of tremors as the magma underneath struggles to get out.

Cumbre Vieja is apparently a Stromboli type eruption, for now.
