Advice Needed Best 4K receiver

On one of the receivers change 26E (or whatever satellite you are testing on) to No Motor. That way the dish won't move when you swap the cable over.
 
hello I've a problem with 4k receiver too

I have ax hd61. when I watch football the picture change brightness continuosly. this problem seems to disappear on my 4k tv if I choose HDR10 video output on the receiver. but I send trasmission on other television in my house through hdmi modulator. when I do this I have same issues on the other televisions: I need to reset on SDR video output (but the problem now appear on the 4k's one)

any guess?

i think gigablue more quality receiver need to check how it work hbb and app not have info about it

The easy solution would be to get a cheap second receiver to feed the HDMI modulator.

I've seen HD Fury products that downscale and convert HDR-to-SDR but it would be cheaper and more flexible to use a second receiver.

Xcruiser locked at 80% no picture scratch

12683V27500
octagon locked at 33% with some picture scratch
Xcruiser locked at 63% no picture scratch

Both time done test at same dish position
Then also tried to maximise the signal
Result remains the same

Blind scan
Octagon 114 channels
Xcruiser 141 channels

I meant
Picture scratch = pixelated
No picture scratch = solid /perfect

when i see the Xcruiser menu images i see it is exactly the same as the 2014 OpenBox Sx6.

On my Octagon SF8008 \ CM 1.2m
12073 - H - 27500 = BBC World News - MIddle East (9.2db for me)
12683 - V 27500 = Al Aoula Inter HD (10.5db for me)

On my Icecrypt 6600 \ CM 1.2m
12073 - H - 27500 = BBC World News - MIddle East (49% for me)
12683 - V 27500 = Al Aoula Inter HD (89% for me)

the slightest nudge picture goes on BBC World News on both STBS, but Al Aoula Inter - solid on both - but down to 6db
 
Out of curiosity (only!): the main UK seller of Icecrypt kit went out of business a few years ago, but does that brand still exist as "viable entity"?

Are you using just one receiver to nudge or on each receiver separately? One receiver's nudge may be bigger than the other's. Do you receive any extra channels on 26E? Also where can you buy this receiver?

I doubt it very much, the tuner frequency span will be determined by the firmware governing the tuner and demodulator chipset

Broadcom have experimented with capturing frequencies outside the norm with a wideband chipset algorithm, but I believe it is more cable oriented.
