Just Sharing This My Channel Master 1.8 project.

Just over £100 including king post. About five miles from here.
Yes would be very interested in it channel hopper, wonder could I send you payment to go buy it and then try arrange for it to be collected picked up from your address ??.

Plus I have a polarmount here that I got made last year copying the pictures from sat superstore and it would easily handle the cm 2.4m with it being adapted at the back to fit the holes on the cm 2.4m aw the current size of it was made for the measurements of the distance on the cm1.8m but that's a easy enough little job for it to be adapted to line up to cm 2.4m holes

i taught you were selling lol,but no harm done.
by what you wrote above i taught you meant there was one for sale 5 miles up the road from you,but you did in fact buy that which was 5 miles up the road lol :D

not yet - its on the way - once setup i will post pics.

Thanks - I have my C band LNB on top of the Ku and using declination jack to switch focus between them. Ideally, I want LNB rotator, which is in the garage in pieces and no time to set it all up.

the part has arrived - just in time for some easter break tinkering!!!

It is a nice sunny morning 'ere in Saarf London/Surrey, good dx weather at the moment, strap it on and get sniffing........
Pics please !
And PRONTO lol.

i have to mow the lawn first!! keep the mrs happy

all done - no time for tweaking yet tho.

finally managed to get 3979 V 21599 (ESPN\Fox Sports2) on 40.5w (not using dual LNB holder for now) - its very jumpy - presuming LUMPS in the Poop as opposed to marginal signal?

You need a theoretical 7.9dB for a lock. Try an E2 receiver on it or a receiver that outputs the info in dB to see what you have.

The fact that the GT box is pouring Poop means it has the recipe right so it should pour smooth if the signal is strong enough.
To the best of my knowledge the recipe is held internally in the GT box?

For an E2 box you will need to do a bit of cooking yourself to pour the Poop.

i just nudged dish a bit, and more smooth....i will now go and cut and fit a @nelson_b T-plate...

Nice one, that is a good result with a 1.8m dish on 40.5W to get smooth Poop for ESPN.
Is the C-Band LNBF the central one or the offset on in your recent picture?

Where's "butchy" he will be interested.

Are you off soon to the real challenges in C-Band for a UK DX Man, 38.0 East, and 43.1 West?

with the help of my E2 box - i was able to establish the problem and fine tune using wifi and app on fone connected to my E2 STB - my sat meter couldnt handle the symbol rate, its only a cheapie so couldnt use that as it didnt recognise the TP

anyway i now have the EPSN TP solid (on this fine day) at 9.5db lock - no glitching - it will only take the sligtest cloud \ rain for it to go im sure.
:)

glad the 1.8m could do it in the end!!!!

i had better luck with a home made straight plate than a T plate.

now i need to work out how to water proof it

That is a good signal level at 9.5dB for ESPN on 40.5W with a 1.8m dish at a UK location.

You have 1.6dB margin on it and C-Band suffers less from rain fade compared to Ku-Band so I think it will maintain the lock.
I think you will find you got smooth Poop there, well done.

Thanks @moonbase . At least that gives butchyboy hope. So far the Poop has been smooth for the last 30 mins or so .... I was actually beginning to think it wasn't achievable with 1.8. sods law the TP I needed to fine tune doesn't show on my sat meter
