A cautionary tale about social media. Lindy is a big child who is frightened by the doctor. The doctor keeps misleading her and has weird tantrums. He inadvertently showed you can't trust anyone on the internet, including the him, because they might turn out to be slugs.
In another low at the end the doctor did not open his TARDIS to show it really is bigger on the inside, and save them from the slugs, but lets them go off to the outside world, showing that he can be a bit of a slug.
In Doctor Who Unleashed clueless MM #1 said Lindys' uni-racial social media feed (unremarkable in Europe, Asia and Africa) was a giveaway that the episode was about racism. I nearly died laughing. I watched the repeat and could see nothing about racism in the story. The makers of the classic series understood Linnaeus and Darwin perfectly, but none of the MMs have a clue and we are reminded of that again.
There is yet more MM hypocrisy because the revived series does not reflect the demographics of the UK. It does reflect the demographics of the US but not the UK. No prizes for working out why.
The speciesist (and Germanophobic and Sinophobic) MM doesn't even allow the space slugs to speak. They can fly spaceships and hack and reprogram computers but they can't speak?! That would never have happened in the classic series...
Rogue vs The Masque Of Mandragora & Black Orchid
In scenes that will bring your dinner back up* like that diabolical 1996 movie, the Doctor, channelling Johnny Keogh and Louise's dad, suddenly becomes "A G-ay". Astoundingly there is no "My People" speech... The story is a 10 minute sketch dragged out and does not compare to the classic series.

The Legend Of Ruby Sunday / Empire Of Death vs Pyramids Of Mars
MM #1s grand finale is a loud rasping brain fart. Shockingly an edited Pyramids of Mars was shown between the two episodes of the finale. Comparing the two is like comparing a fart to Shakespeare.
Children's television programmes often have the monsters in the lead roles, like Scream Street and Hotel Transylvania. Sutekh, as we know from Pyramids Of Mars, pretended to be a god. Obviously he would have been a good character for plot twists, like wearing the cloak and leaving baby Ruby at the church. Yet he hardly speaks and only says stupid things because the speciesist MM has no imagination whatsoever.
In another low the 'Memory TARDIS' is like something in a special needs school.
The War Games in colour vs The War Games
MM #1 decided to give us a colourized version of The War Games for Christmas. But he cut out 60% of it! What kind of Christmas present is that? Like the colourized The Daleks and his Pyramids of Mars the MM has cut random bits out. I have no idea why. Anyone with sense would colourize each episode and show each episode separately like BBC Four did with The Hand of Fear and The Face of Evil.
The War Games in colour has far too much cut out of it. There is an incomprehensible bust of very short scenes about a third of the way in and it turns into a quagmire from there with characters appearing out of nowhere without introduction or explanation.
In another low, there is a weird windowlickerish regeneration scene tacked on the end which is jarring and unnecessary.
There is no effort to make the new special effects coherent with the original. So when it cuts to the exterior of the war games control centre it is so jarring it is distracting. All they had to do was take a grainy black and white analogue film photo of a model and colourize it then it wouldn't be so distracting. It would like it was part of the original.
Once again something which is better than anything the MMs have done or will ever do is run through MM #1s cold clammy hands of death and is shitified.
Joy to the World vs Carnival of Monsters
Another story by MM #2, who also wrote Boom. Another 10 minute sketch stretched out tediously. At the end of Carnival of Monsters an odd MM like being is eaten by a monster. In Joy to the World nothing much happens until the end. In yet another low the Doctor sends up the star that guides the three wise men to baby Jesus. This means that Doctor Who is god......
