Telstar 12 Vantage.

Something was wrong, with the given parameters, the bitrate should have been almost 80 mbps.
I've no idea what they are filling the transponder with to give that result. There's nothing useful being transmitted that makes any sense to us, just a succession of pids changing in number and frequency over time.
 
In other forum it is said that telstar is using for this footprint of middle east too ? This info can be confirmed
by someone here living on that region? Forum says " footprint north sea and footprint middle east "
 
Absolutely refuses to lock on my TBS6903, yet it looks like a perfectly normal DVB-S2 signal on CrazyScan. I see people with the 6903X can lock it, which would suggest it's actually using DVB-S2X, but my Octagon SF4008 also refuses to lock it, so I guess it's not that! When I've had problems like this with other signals it usually turns out to be a PLS code being used, but that's obviously not the case here either!

It won't download anything so unable to see any details. I will try the S3 Mini later, that should reveal something perhaps..
 
If I'm not mistaken, these receivers record only Video-Audio (pids from PMT) of the given program in TS format, they do not record the content of the entire transponder.
 
i dont know Gtmedia stb but on octagon its pretty simple

stb information, press stop button, red button to record

On Octagon native OS you can record the full TP if not mistaken

Not sure, with regular PCRs inserted. At the time of capture, largest is 0.13% of the stream. Some pids show 0.0% (?)

yes, it simulates a full TS (8192 pids), but I don't know how it affects testing compared to using only one pid 8191

no way, no specific content is broadcast
So, if I understand correctly, we can't be sure this is the replacement for BBC Satback from 27.5W? Please correct if I'm wrong.
