la porzione di banda che va da 10900 a 11200 circa è occupata da 2 tp con una banda di 95 MHz irradiati dallo spot di mare centrale, di conseguenza lo spot di mare nord è coperto da questo spot questo è quello che vedo dall'itlia del nord

I am located in the Canaries and after a survey of the dish it looks like I have my work cut out. After 10 years of salty sea air the Channel Master 2.4 has weathered quite well, but can’t say the same for the LNB: all fixings brittle rust and the connectors all caked in some form of oxide. Even freeing it to take down to the workshop looks like a job in itself:(
 
At certain times of the day I can capture it, but it is impossible to have good continuous reception.

I guess the footprint of the interfering spot may be more relevant here than the distance from the North Sea spot.

Yes I confirm. Tested with my CM 2.4m in North part of Italy, near Milan.
Both massive transponders from central beam are booming here, so the BBC one is totally hidden.
I believe that without these "interfering" signals probably it would be possible, as it happens for 28.2 East. But in this situation.... well, no way unfortunately. Very bad luck.
Do you know who uses these 100MHz large transponders? Any chance they will be switched off in the future?
PS: It would be very interesting a reception survey from all forum users having large dishes in all part of Europe. Who is able to get the BBC and in which location outside the UK?
 
I may be hopelessly confused, but looking at Telstar 12 Frequency Plan that was published by another poster it looks like the Med Central S3 uses the same spectrum that the North Sea S1 uses. Lyngsat does not show any active transponders with overlapping or closely adjacent frequencies, but this seems to be permissible. If it is the S3 beam that is the source of the interference, then perhaps those of us further west may have a chance. Perhaps someone who knows what they are talking about could advise? TIA

However it would be interesting to know how reception is at various places in Europe as suggested by "7mdish" above.

which make reception of the BBC mux impossible at my latitude

Not that it helps, but a distorted 70cm dish here is picking up the mux from 15W without trouble.
(A few miles from Heathrow)

Since the thread was originally about collecting signals from the UK channels, I was not going to search outside the parameters.

If you have the detail of the interfering transponders I can have a scan here after dinner.

Indeed, the two trps(11012 V and 11137 V) with symbol rates 107141 have long been active and have a strong signal in many parts of Europe.

In the morning and during the day the signal levels (BBC Telstar 15º W frequency) are better than at night. At night the signal levels drop noticeably and it is not until the next day that they recover again and so on.
 
I'm getting the BBC HD etc and ESPN. Mid Sweden 80cm. Get all the 14W stuff too without moving the dish.
Where are you in mid Sweden? Örebro? Jönköping?

Here in Stockholm i see those 100MHz transponders and a weak glimpse of 11043 V which is unusable.
ESPN on a 65 cm gives me 7,7db and stable picture.. if 80 does the trick i ll upgrade mine to 90cm and give a try.

What is the content of both transponders? Surely data, but what? Internet by satellite maybe?

"Data" is the generic name, a common umbrella(so to speak) for transponders whose content we cannot determine. It can be of any kind and is transmitted to a recipient with a dedicated device to decode it, such as the satellite internet.
We, simple amateurs, try to find this content but can't access it due to the lack of physical media/HDW support or specific applications.
But, in recent years, some passionate developers have created applications capable of decoding that content, such as radio or video streams.
Thanks to them, we found out that at 27.5W, radio/video programs(IPTV-over-Sat) are transmitted using software(TSReader, for example).
However, we could also detect radio transmissions on this satellite, and we didn't even know they existed with our commercial devices. We don't even smell them, but with the help of some dvb cards with high-performance hardware, we also learned about radio transmissions with impossible-to-find parameters, such as symbol rate below 100 Ks.
Another example is the DAB+ transmissions on various satellites you don't have access to with your equipment. Until you find out their content, they were reported on the satellite lists as Data.
This is what I meant about Data transponders, which is, of course, an amateur explanation.
I'll show what such a transponder on this satellite at 27.5W, which we can't decode, and the one whose content we discovered(IPTV/Radio-over-Sat) looks like:
