Hi Everyone

Can anyone pick up the new VIVACOM package transponder on 13e ? Ive noticed it has The Voice and CITY on.

I think the beam is out of reach for the UK

Thanks!

The East/Balkan beam is currently not specified on any site, including Eutelsat.
Here in northeastern Austria, the Vivacom beams with a T90 and LNB are even on the outer edge.
I'm curious to see where else or what is already happening.

It would be really interesting to see how this beam looks.
Getting all Vivacom transponders at 14,8 - 15,7 dB with an 110 cm Triax in southern parts of Sweden and at the same time it's on the edge with an 90 cm in Austria.

We could do a google maps like i did a few years ago when the new astra 2's came into service but it would need a lot of input from European members to make it worthwhile

Very interesting i didnt know hotbird 13e had focus beams.

Nobody did until a few weeks ago :( It was a nasty surprise when the Vivacom transponders disappeared as they were fired up on the wide beam

Go for it! Nowt at all in Bristol area on my 1.8m. Barely a blip on the F15 receiver... @John / @scopus / @nelson_b - anything oop nurf on your large saucers?

Not even a flicker of signal on any of the Vivacom transponders for me here in the North west... 20 miles inland/East from Lancaster .. on a 2.4 cm into F15 receiver .

When the beam was activated, I tested it out with a 30cm dish and was able to pick it up very very strong in Bulgaria, but Estonia gives me nothing on a 1.2m dish so a map would be helpful yes.

Ive moved this to a better location within the forum. I'll start a seperate thread for reception reports - once its got a reasonable response I'll see about setting a map up.

On one well-known portal, the situation of reports is as follows:
satofking.png

red - without receiving
white - with receiving
that the user marked it as "without signal", you have to ask him

Ive made a start on the map link is here

Code:
https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=14iMmJ1HBZ_TXd1uIraCs7cWLsgrj-QA&usp=sharing

Map legend is this:

up to 1m --> green
1m - 1.49m --> blue
1.5 - 1.99m --> yellow
2m - 2.49m --> purple

a star on the pin means no reception
a tick means good or marginal reception.

Ive made a guess as to locations within a country where no town is specified - if you want the pin moved make a note :)
