Did you check the Advanced section of Decode to see if there was an adjustment on the frame rate to 50fps or 60fps with the RX8200? There are a lot of settings in there but some of them might need the conversion board module?

I think i might have confused things - the 8200 was spot on Dave, it was just noticeable that for once the Combo was doing a half decent job at 12fps processing the 422 feed. I'll do a board check on the 8200 now

If you want smoother 4:2:2 from the RX8200 that that provided by 25fps you could try 720p at 50fps or 60fps. There is not a great deal in it between 1080i and 720p resolution output in my personal opinion but it gets you faster frame rate.

hang on, what...theres a new GT Combo? The GTX Combo? is it better than the Combo - still as flakey as ever for me
