ISS (LEO) HamTV 2395MHz

What's the resolution bandwidth & video BW?

Are you sure that's not the antenna + down converter?

It will be off for a while next week and there's no news regarding a video test yet.

It's the RF explorer, a humble portable analyser, no video output, detection only.

I suspect the loopthrough tuner circuit has a bandpass filter inside so next time is wideband splitters with DC isolating,

Final tests, power off and power on. I have also narrowed down the bandwidth the 20MHz either side.

First pass at 08:43, second at 10:20

interesting. i can hear ISS on my AOR AR-DV1 when they pass over, the Satcom pirates come in well aswel like

Still not a lot during the 8.45 pass, I will change the DC isolator before pass 2 just to be sure.

It's not the isolator. I may have to test the antenna on another source.

Hope you find out the problem soon.:)

Quick question - is it possible to catch this with a spare minidish and a POTY antenna for 2.4Ghz meant for QO100?

Probably. Both ISS & QO-100 are RHCP. I assume that a mini dish is 0.45m
I got about 14dB SNR max on a 1.2m but guess that an overhead pass might give me 16dB. Based on that, a 0.45m should get 7.5dB ish and it will lock as low as 3dB on a TBS6903 for me (the Serit tuner is similar, if you use that).
It won't be back on 'till Weds 12:35 UTC though.

Was it working yesterday ?

If not then I may have wasted taking the kit off the roof this morning .

From Discord feed:
ARISS Intl
HamTV is still off after the outage earlier this week. It's not an issue with the unit. Teams are working to get a power-up back on the schedule.

When did it go off (just in case the kit outside was working at the weekend)

I presume it was on during last weekend and went off as per this
Thanks, will look further afield for anyone getting signal last week.

As before, I doubt I will get excited should a 3minute video from the ISS turn up on the tele.

It's back until the middle of next week. Here's another exciting black screen. The max on the pass was around 8dB. This time I was using the TBS6903a at 2395MHz as opposed to 421MHz with downcoversion.

A yellow weather warning in place here until Monday.

Status from Sunday 14th Sept.

Colour bars were transmitted on the last pass over Europe. The ground station merger feed is here It was an overhead pass for me so in the trees all the time except for a short time when it was below threshold.
