Turksat 4A Ka Band A now active

Feeds-Transfers, who knows for whom?

I've optimized my Ka-band LNB again. Unfortunately, there's not much reception in band A anymore. I have another transponder at 42° East to try. I can only unlock it at about 9 dB, and I can't get the picture to display. Could someone with Ka-band A equipment please do a test to check. Everything's fine for me at 19 and 28 degrees, but I'm having these problems at 42 degrees. I think it's due to the transmission.

Looking at 42° East now on 18.634 LHC - Norsat pll lnb with LHC poloriser , Gibby 1.2m. , 17k North of Nottingham UK.
Up and down in signal strength at the moment - In and out of lock using a 1.2m Gibby.
Promax meter gives me 8.5dB maximum, 7dB minimum.
CS scan around 6.5dB max indicated , showing errors occasionally.

Clear blue skies this late afternoon - signal is up and holding steady from the Norsat PLL and 1.2m Gibby at over 9dB on the Promax.
Do you see the other two markers at 18718.55 L & 18719.55 L ?.

18710L gone to 18633L now

Thanks :Y

I'm always pleased when enthusiasts are still interested in the Ka Band. Their numbers are dwindling.

Well dreamsat, I feel much the same! The only trouble I have here is that my dish is smaller than yours. I bought the XMW LNB to receive ITN newsnet and Italian Race feeds at 19E which went some time ago. I tried my Saorsat LNB this morning and there are many satellite positions with signals but nothing to lock. It did receive Morocco feeds at 26E at one time but that has gone now. I also have a dual band LNB which covers 16E and 7E but there's not so much to receive now.

Dreamsat I have just checked for signals using my Saorsat LNB and nothing found here in the West of the UK. Maybe the beam faces you or its gone now/ SimonE

You were not mistaken. There is currently no signal available.

Some channels are no longer available.
